Eric Barnes

Eric is a native of Southern California and has been taking pictures for as long as he can remember.  He made a career as a news photographer, working for local and national news agencies.  As a photojournalist, Eric has documented some of the most important news events both nationally and around the world.  He has covered everything from the tsunami in Thailand to the war in Afghanistan and countless other compelling stories.

Between his job and pleasure, Eric has traveled to and photographed 6 continents and more than 30 countries.  One of his greatest pleasures has been taking his niece and nephew along on some of these adventures.  Eric won a photography contest, which sent him on the trip of a lifetime with Lindblad/National Geographic to the Galapagos, and he is now over the moon to be able to join the expeditions as a video chronicler and grow as a videographer and as a person.
