Single-Use Plastic Ban | Lindblad Expeditions

Lindblad Expeditions is committed to the elimination of single-use plastics across their fleet. All ships are 100% free of single-use plastic bottles, cups, straws and stirrers. The effort began in 2007 when single-use plastic water bottles were replaced with reusable, stainless-steel bottles in all cabins aboard. Lindblad Expeditions’ commitment to sustainability permeates every aspect of operations, including partnering with suppliers who are also working toward reducing and eliminating single-use plastics.

I went for a walk on the beach in Maui the other day, and I kept bending down to pick up plastic litter that had washed up on the shore. The sand had just gone through a clean-up a few months before, but it was already covered in bits of red, blue, and yellow plastic along the high tide line. On what should have been one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, I spent my morning collecting trash.

No More Parkas in Plastic

Parkas used to arrive in plastic bags, but thanks to Lindblad Expeditions and Ship to Shore Traveler's forward and original thinking, parkas are now packaged in reusable bags that can be used as a laundry bag, for beach cleanup, storage, and other practical uses.
