We awoke to perfect conditions for our zodiac cruises around the rich bird islands of Isla de la Plata, a famous breeding site for blue-footed boobies, frigatebirds and albatrosses.
In the late afternoon our progress north was interrupted by King Neptune and his delightful mermaid, as we enjoyed the traditional nautical celebration of crossing the Equator.
