Floreana Island
This is an island dotted with numerous extinct cones and at this time of year you can see how dry the islands become. Today, we spent the whole day visiting different locations in the area.
Our snorkeling outing along Champion inlet was superb. We enjoyed observing the rich marine life that Champion has to offer. Tropical fish everywhere, sea lions dancing with us, and almost at the very end a guest spotted a pacific green sea turtle feeding on a comb jelly fish.
The pacific green sea turtle is the only species nesting on the Galapagos beaches. The breeding time is from December to April, but it seems as though some of them hang out in these waters all year long.
