Captain Graves brings a small group of hikers home to the Sea Bird:
Actually, from the distance in this picture, I can't tell if these are hikers or kayakers. I took the photo while perched on top of the wheelhouse. Anyway, today while I was standing my morning watch, some of the guests walked up to Lake Eva from the trailhead which starts in the treeline just above highwater, and some chose to spend the morning kayaking along the shoreline here in Hanus Bay. If you could look a little more closely at the people in the Zodiac, those with wet sleeves would be identified as the kayakers, and those with muddy boots, the hikers. They all met back together on the beach for these shuttles to the ship, just in time for lunch. If you believe stories, theirs were about bears, harbor seals, eagles, moss thick enough to swallow a person hole, running salmon and so on and so forth.
