This morning we awoke to the sight and sounds of eight humpback whales feeding next to the ship. They surfaced and dove in synchrony, and at times we could also smell their exhalations!
Later, as the ship moved slowly in thick fog, we looked out and saw this group of about 80 sea otters resting on the surface. This afternoon we explored George Island by foot and kayak.
