We were absolutely motionless when a pod of about a dozen orcas decided to come up to the ship and check us out. It was apparent that we had crashed a party of orcas belonging to the "AH Pod". They were not unhappy to have us in their midst, and we were delighted to be included in their festivities -- which included rolling and fin slapping and some other orca activities that are not polite to mention.
