Corcovado National Park
One of the most impacting experiences a nature lover can have is a visit to Osa Peninsula. National Geographic had called this small peninsula on the south Pacific of Costa Rica the most biologically intense place in the planet.
Our day began in San Josecito, a private reserve, where a humpback whale calf welcomed us. Some of our guests were able to enjoy a horseback ride thru Rincon beach. This two hour ride took them thru forest and beach trails. Other folks decided to take a long hike to Rio Claro, while others walked around the gardens. Before we returned to the Sea Voyager we were able to observe the splendor of the Scarlet Macaws feeding on the beach almonds.
After lunch and siesta we arrived at Corcovado where we were submerged in the magnificence of the tropical rain forests. Several options were available to our guests. Most opted for the waterfall hike where we were baptized as nature lovers in a pristine swimming hole and cascade. After almost a week of exploring the beauty and wonders of this spectacular part of the planet our guests are now more conscious of the environment and better world citizens because of it.
