The DER below is from the expedition to Cuba that began on February 22, 2017.

On our first full day on the southern coast of Cuba, we take the opportunity to visit the Museo Gíron to see images and some of the military weaponry of the Bay of Pigs incident. From the beach we headed to Punta Perdiz, where the azure waters were perfect for snorkeling and sun-bathing. After lunch we visited the Korimakao Community Project and were treated to dance and musical performances. The highlight of the day for many was spent at the hummingbird house in Playa Larga, where we got to see and photograph the world’s smallest bird; the bee hummingbird!
