This morning, National Geographic Quest entered Tracy Arm/Fords Terror Wilderness to explore Endicott Arm. The accumulation of ice recently calved from Dawes Glacier was quickly drawn out by the strong outgoing tidal current, opening up a clear path to approach the face with Zodiacs. Among the bergy bits we cruised by, we delighted in the larger icebergs that served as temporary safe havens for harbor seals, many with young pups by their sides.
