Today we woke up, to a nice cloudy day in the Amazon, giving us some good light for photography. Along the ride, we spotted some black collar hawks, neo-tropical cormorants, monk-saki monkeys, squirrel monkeys, and a large number of great egrets. We were also extremely lucky to find an arboreal ant eater, not far away from the river bank, feeding half way up to the canopy.
We also had the opportunity to visit a small community, where locals had handicrafts of all kinds, laid on display for us to admire. We talked to some of the children and brought some souvenirs back with us.
After our morning exploration we had a photography talk, followed by some Peruvian ceviche and local fish for lunch.
After lunch, we went out to explore again and find some paradise tanagers, howler monkeys, dancing parrots, and dusky headed parakeets on small flocks flying above us.
