During the morning, we went for a skiff ride along the riverbanks of Belluda Creek. We spotted a few yellow and blue macaws flying overhead.

We had a little light rain during the morning but that didn’t stop us from enjoying our morning exploration with the wildlife of the river and rainforest ecosystem.

We had the chance to go to a river beach to enjoy some natural exfoliation with mud therapy.  Then, we went back on board and took the dry clay off our bodies. We went right back out for a late afternoon and night exploration to encounter some howler monkeys, and as soon as the night arrived, we spotted several reticulated and black caimans. The caiman’s eye was really shiny and reflected the flashlight’s light from a far distance. What first seemed to be just a few caimans in the area, all of the sudden became plenty of shiny little eyes, looking at us from the muddy river bank.  We stayed in the area admiring these elegant reptiles, having close encounters with some of them.  In our way back we saw some reticulated owls flying in the distance, and few bats and night herons perched on the trees.
