The day started off a little chilly, but soon became warm and nice, both windy and sunny. The water temperature was 68 degrees F, yet nobody barked but the sea lions.

We were far away from yesterday’s sites and nearing the end of our trip. We spent most of the morning on the beach below the spectacular Pinnacle Rock. The sand is beautiful and many of us lay down and blissfully rolled around, as we have learned from other Galapagos creatures. Some even practiced taking pictures as they reclined (exemplis gratia: see our picture). Time has come to relax and do nothing but enjoy the penguins swimming, the boobies fishing and the cotton growing high…
